Procedure:
When performing facelift surgery, Manhattan, the surgeon
places an inconspicuous incision inside the hairline
and tucked behind the ears. The underlying facial muscles
are then tightened, any excess skin is removed, and
the remaining skin is then draped gently in place,
and the incision sutured. Facelift surgery is usually
performed on an outpatient basis under general or local
anesthesia.
Risks:
All surgical procedures involve a degree of risk. Patients
pursuing facelift surgery in Manhattan, however, can
better avoid these risks through awareness and patient/doctor
communication. Some of the possible risks involved
with facelift surgery include injury to facial nerves
and sensation, bleeding, infection, excessive scarring,
or asymmetry.
Recovery:
Most Manhattan facelift surgery patients are back to
work in about 10-14 days after surgery, but go a bit
longer than 2 weeks before being able to attempt anything
more strenuous. Bruising should be fading nicely by this
time, but may take a bit longer to completely dissipate.
Additional Options:
Plenty of women pursue just facelift surgery in Manhattan,
as a stand alone procedure. However, the results can
be further enhanced when performed in conjunction with
another cosmetic procedure. Many Manhattan facelift surgery
patients combine the facelift with a rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty,
or a neck lift.
